Branding that jumps off the page

L'Occitaine branding These brand materials from L’Occitaine (perfumiers) literally jumped off the page and into my sketchbook because they made a real impression on me when they arrived in the post.

Why? I like the way the photography merges with the rough sketches.  And I am reminded  that drawings don’t always have to be polished and fine-tuned to appeal.

branding2My favourite painting medium is vibrant Brusho inks and so I couldn’t help but be taken by the way the colourful and loose  paintings contrast with the sharpness of the photos of the bottles. I make perfume so this imagery is talking to me on many levels.
